3rd Assistant Engineer / 4th Engineer for Bulk Carrier Vessel

Job Description

Southfield Agencies, Inc. is recruiting two Third Assistant Engineers / Fourth Engineers for bulk carrier vessels. Applicants should have the required experience in the same rank and on the same vessel type.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist with the operation and maintenance of auxiliary machinery and engine-room systems.
• Perform routine machinery inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Support senior engineers during repairs and equipment testing.
• Monitor machinery conditions and report faults promptly.
• Follow engine-room safety procedures and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• Valid Certificate of Competency appropriate to the position.
• At least two contracts of experience in the same rank and on the same type of vessel.
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness certificate.
• Valid and available seafarer’s documents.
• Proficiency in English communication.
