2nd Engineer for Tanker / Bulk Carrier / Container Carrier Vessels

Job Description

Minerva Marine Agency, Inc. is hiring qualified Second Engineers for tanker, bulk, and container vessels.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist the Chief Engineer in managing engine-room operations.
• Monitor and maintain propulsion machinery and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate machinery repairs.
• Supervise engine-room personnel as assigned.
• Maintain machinery records and follow onboard safety procedures.

Requirements

• Valid Second Engineer’s Certificate of Competency (CoC).
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness certificate.
• Relevant experience on the applicable vessel type.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Complete and valid seafarer’s documents and certificates.
