Job Description

South Point is seeking an experienced 2nd Engineer to join an upcoming LNG Bunker Vessel operation in Singapore waters.

The successful candidate will assist the Chief Engineer in managing engine-room operations, maintaining machinery and ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the vessel’s propulsion, auxiliary and technical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer with engine-room operations and maintenance.
• Monitor and maintain propulsion machinery, auxiliary engines and other equipment.
• Carry out planned maintenance, inspections and troubleshooting.
• Support the safe operation of LNG-related machinery and systems within the assigned responsibilities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow onboard safety procedures.

Requirements

• Malaysian nationality – mandatory.
• Previous experience onboard LNG vessels – mandatory.
• Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) and endorsements appropriate to the rank.
• Valid STCW certificates and applicable medical fitness certification.
• Valid passport and seaman’s book.
• Relevant experience as a 2nd Engineer.
• Familiarity with LNG bunkering operations is an advantage.
• Good command of English.
• Availability to join in December 2026.
