Job Description

Select Offshore is currently seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a Service Operation Vessel (SOV) in Gdynia, Poland, starting on 14 October 2026.

The successful candidate must have strong SOV experience, valid STCW certificates, a valid Seafarer Medical Certificate, and DP Maintenance qualifications. This is a permanent position with a 4-weeks-on / 4-weeks-off rotation.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Overseeing the safe and efficient operation of all vessel engines, machinery, and technical systems.
• Managing the engine department and supervising engine-room personnel.
• Conducting preventive maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of machinery.
• Maintaining and monitoring dynamic positioning support and maintenance systems within the scope of the role.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable maritime regulations, safety procedures, and environmental requirements.
• Maintaining accurate technical records and coordinating repairs and maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Strong previous experience as Chief Engineer on SOV vessels.
• DP Maintenance qualification.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid Seafarer Medical Certificate.
• Relevant Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency and supporting documents.
• Availability to join on 14 October 2026.
