Job Description

Nimbus Marine Group is looking for a qualified Chief Officer for an upcoming assignment onboard an Offshore Construction Vessel operating in Sabah, Malaysia.

The candidate will assist the Master with navigation, deck operations, crew supervision, and the implementation of onboard safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist the Master with safe navigation and vessel operations.
• Supervise deck crew and coordinate deck maintenance activities.
• Support cargo, lifting, and offshore operations as applicable to the vessel.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maritime regulations.
• Maintain deck-related records and participate in emergency drills.

Requirements

• Class 2 Deck Certificate of Competency (CoC).
• Previous experience in a similar position on offshore vessels is preferred.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Valid passport and seafarer’s documents.
• Good English communication skills.
• Availability for the November 2026 – January 2027 assignment.
• Sabahan crew candidates are sought for this opportunity.
