Chief Engineer for AHTS / Tug Vessels

Job Description

Jebsen PTC is inviting applications from qualified Chief Engineers for offshore AHTS and tug vessels. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel’s engine room, propulsion systems, and auxiliary machinery.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Manage and supervise all engine-room operations and technical personnel.
• Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
• Plan and oversee preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Monitor machinery performance and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate engine-room records and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Valid Chief Engineer’s Certificate of Competency appropriate to the vessel.
• Relevant experience on AHTS and/or tug vessels.
• Valid STCW certificates and seafarer documents.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
