Chief Engineer for Research Vessel (Qatar)

Job Description:
Seaworks Company is recruiting an experienced Chief Engineer to join a research vessel operating in Qatar. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and management of the vessel's machinery and engine-room systems.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Manage the operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary machinery.
• Supervise engine-room personnel and technical operations.
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is completed.
• Monitor machinery performance and identify technical issues.
• Maintain compliance with safety and environmental requirements.

Requirements:

• Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) as Chief Engineer.
• Valid STCW certificates and relevant endorsements.
• Valid seafarer medical fitness certificate.
• Relevant experience in a similar position.
• Good English communication skills.
