Job Description
TOS People is seeking a qualified Third Engineer to join a Jack-Up Barge for an offshore project.
The successful candidate will assist with the operation, inspection, and maintenance of the vessel's main and auxiliary machinery, supporting safe and reliable engineering operations.
Previous Jack-Up Barge experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain assigned machinery and auxiliary systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairs.
- Monitor machinery performance and report abnormalities.
- Maintain engineering records and maintenance documentation.
- Support the Chief Engineer and Second Engineer with daily technical tasks.
- Follow engine-room safety procedures and environmental requirements.
- Maintain safe and tidy working areas.
Requirements
- Relevant experience as Third Engineer on Jack-Up Barges.
- Valid Third Engineer Certificate of Competency appropriate to the position.
- Valid STCW certificates and applicable endorsements.
- Valid medical fitness certificate and Seaman's Book, where applicable.
- Practical knowledge of marine machinery and engine-room maintenance.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and teamwork skills.
- Availability for offshore mobilisation as required.
