AB for General Cargo Vessel

Job Description

PT Nesia Cipta Akasah is recruiting Able Seamen (AB) for a General Cargo Vessel with a gross tonnage of approximately 18,000 GRT. The position involves supporting the deck department with cargo operations, mooring, maintenance, watchkeeping, and general seamanship duties onboard.

The vessel operates with an 11/5 crew structure, and successful candidates are expected to join at the end of October.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with mooring, anchoring, and cargo operations.
• Carrying out deck maintenance, cleaning, painting, and preservation work.
• Supporting safe handling of deck equipment and cargo gear.
• Participating in navigational and security watch duties as assigned.
• Following onboard safety procedures and participating in emergency drills.

Requirements

• Valid AB Certificate / qualification.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
• Valid Seafarer’s Book and passport.
• Relevant experience on General Cargo or similar merchant vessels.
• Proficiency in English communication.
