3rd Officer for Bulk Carrier Vessel

Job Description

Southfield Agencies, Inc. is urgently hiring a qualified Third Officer for Panamax / Capesize bulk carriers. Applicants must have at least two contracts of experience in the same rank and on the same type of vessel.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Perform navigational watchkeeping duties and assist with the safe navigation of the vessel.
• Maintain charts, navigational publications, and bridge records.
• Inspect lifesaving and firefighting equipment and ensure readiness for emergencies.
• Participate in safety drills and support onboard emergency response.
• Assist with deck operations and comply with the Master’s instructions.

Requirements

• Valid Officer of the Watch Certificate of Competency (CoC).
• At least two contracts of experience as Third Officer on the same type of vessel.
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness certificate.
• Valid and available seafarer’s documents.
• Proficiency in English communication.
