Job Description

Select Offshore is urgently recruiting an experienced Steward to join a Heavy Lift Vessel (HLV) operating in the Far East.

The successful candidate will support onboard catering services, meal service, and housekeeping activities while ensuring that mess rooms and assigned accommodation areas remain clean, hygienic, and well organized.

Candidates must hold valid STCW certificates, BOSIET with CA-EBS, and a valid Schengen Visa.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with meal service for officers and crew.
Prepare dining areas, tables, and service stations.
Maintain cleanliness in mess rooms, accommodation areas, and assigned spaces.
Assist with galley cleaning, dishwashing, and general housekeeping.
Support food storage and provision handling as required.
Maintain appropriate hygiene and sanitation standards.
Report shortages, damaged equipment, or maintenance issues to the responsible personnel.
Follow onboard safety procedures and company housekeeping requirements.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Steward, Messman, or in a similar shipboard hospitality role.
Knowledge of food service, housekeeping, and hygiene standards.
Valid BOSIET with CA-EBS – mandatory.
Valid STCW certificates – mandatory.
Valid Schengen Visa – mandatory.
Valid Seaman's Book and medical fitness certificate, where required.
Good English communication skills.
Positive attitude, reliability, and ability to work as part of an international crew.
Availability for immediate mobilisation.
