Location: North Sea
Job Description:
We are looking for a Chief Cook for an OSV DP2 vessel operating in the North Sea. Contract duration is 4–6 weeks, with joining on 14 January.
Candidates must hold a Ship’s Cook License and have proven experience working onboard offshore vessels.
Mandatory: valid UK Work Permit.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Preparation of daily meals for crew and officers (international and dietary menus)
• Menu planning, provisioning management, inventory control
• Ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and galley cleanliness
• Compliance with HACCP, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Management of galley equipment and timely reporting of malfunctions
• Coordination with vessel management regarding catering needs
• Waste management in accordance with MARPOL regulations
• Maintaining cost efficiency while ensuring proper nutrition for crew
Requirements:
• Valid Ship’s Cook License
• Minimum 12 months experience on OSV/DP or similar offshore vessels in the rank of Chief Cook
• Valid STCW certificates
• Valid UK Work Permit (mandatory)
• Medical fitness certificate
• Passport and Seaman’s Book (all pages)
• References from previous employers
• Strong command of English
Employment Details:
• Contract Duration: 4–6 weeks
• Salary: 250 EUR/day
