Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer to support health, safety and environmental management onboard a Walk-to-Work vessel.
The successful candidate will help implement company HSE procedures, monitor work activities, identify hazards and promote a strong safety culture throughout vessel and offshore operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance with company HSE policies and offshore safety procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections and workplace observations.
- Assist with risk assessments, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Monitor permit-to-work compliance and safe execution of activities.
- Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Support incident and near-miss reporting and investigations.
- Maintain HSE records, reports and relevant documentation.
- Promote safe work practices among crew and offshore personnel.
- Participate in emergency drills and safety exercises.
- Coordinate with vessel management and project personnel on HSE matters.
Requirements
- Brunei nationality – mandatory.
- Minimum 2 years / 24 months of relevant experience in the applied HSE role or comparable offshore position.
- Previous offshore vessel / offshore project experience.
- Relevant HSE / occupational safety qualifications.
- Valid offshore safety and medical certificates, as required.
- Knowledge of risk assessment, incident reporting and permit-to-work processes.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and promote a positive safety culture.
