Oiler to join SPJUB (KSA)

Job Description:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Oiler to join an SPJUB (Self-Propelled Jack-Up Barge / Lift Boat) operating in Saudi Arabia. The project involves offshore lift boat operations requiring strong engine room support, strict safety compliance, and reliable machinery maintenance in a demanding offshore environment. The role supports the engineering team to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations. Accommodation and meals are provided onboard in line with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Performing routine inspections of engines, pumps, hydraulic systems, and auxiliary machinery
• Monitoring, topping up, and changing oil, lubricants, and other fluids
• Assisting engineers in troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic issues
• Maintaining accurate logs of maintenance activities and fuel/oil consumption
• Supporting deck crew with machinery operation when required
• Ensuring full compliance with safety standards during all maintenance tasks
• Reporting equipment defects and anomalies promptly to the engineering supervisor

Requirements:
• Minimum 4 years’ hands-on experience working on lift boats / SPJUBs
• Strong understanding of marine engine and machinery maintenance
• Ability to monitor oil levels, fluid systems, and mechanical components
• Knowledge of safety procedures specific to lift boat operations
• Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces and at heights
• Willingness to work rotating shifts in an offshore environment
• Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills
• Fluent spoken and written English
