Motorman / Engine Room Assistant for Jack-Up Barge

Job Description

An urgent opportunity is available for a qualified Motorman / Engine Room Assistant to join an offshoreJack-Up Barge. The successful candidate will support engine-room operations, assist with machinery maintenance, and help ensure the safe and efficient operation of onboard equipment.

Candidates must hold the required offshore certifications and be available to join immediately. Applicants must also be able to expedite their OGUK medical examination and chickenpox vaccination, as required for the assignment.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist with the operation, inspection, and maintenance of engine-room machinery and equipment.
• Support engineers with routine servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor machinery performance and report defects or abnormal operating conditions.
• Maintain engine-room cleanliness and ensure tools and equipment are stored safely.
• Follow offshore safety procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and company policies.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Motorman or Engine Room Assistant, preferably on offshore installations.
• Valid offshore certifications required for the assignment.
• Ability to join immediately.
• Must be able to expedite the required OGUK medical examination.
• Must be able to expedite the required chickenpox vaccination.
• Valid seafarer medical fitness documentation, as applicable.
• Valid passport and relevant seafarer documents.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Commitment to offshore safety procedures and operational standards.
