Job Description
A leading offshore marine company is currently seeking an experienced Master to join a Self-Propelled Jack-Up Barge (DP2) operating in the UAE/Qatar region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall command and safe operation of the vessel, including navigation, offshore marine operations, crew management, safety compliance, and coordination of vessel activities in accordance with company and project requirements.
This position is suitable for experienced Masters with proven Self-Propelled Jack-Up Barge experience.
Position Available
- Master – USD 1,430 per day
Job Responsibilities
- Take overall command and responsibility for the safe operation of the vessel
- Ensure safe navigation and offshore marine operations
- Supervise and manage deck and marine personnel
- Ensure compliance with company HSE procedures and international maritime regulations
- Conduct safety meetings, drills, inspections, and operational briefings
- Maintain vessel readiness and accurate operational documentation
- Coordinate offshore activities in accordance with project requirements
Requirements
General Requirements
- Valid Master Unlimited Certificate of Competency (CoC)
- Valid Flag State Endorsement
- Valid STCW certification package
- Valid passport
- Valid seaman's book
- Valid medical certificate
- Good English communication skills
- Strong leadership and safety-management skills
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
Professional Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of actual onboard experience as Master on Self-Propelled Jack-Up Barges
- Previous experience on Jack-Up Barge DP2 vessels preferred
- Proven experience in offshore marine operations
- Strong knowledge of navigation, vessel operations, and offshore safety procedures
