Job Description:

A reputable shipping company is currently recruiting qualified and experienced seafarers to join a Turkish-flagged Tug Boat.

The vessel has a GT of 573, was built in 2009, and is equipped with 2 × 2,000 HP main engines with a bollard pull of 52.35 MT.

The company is seeking experienced deck officers, engineering officers, and ratings. Turkish crew members are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Depending on the assigned position, duties may include but are not limited to:

• Perform duties according to the assigned rank and vessel procedures
• Support safe tug boat operations, towing, berthing, unberthing, and manoeuvring activities
• Conduct navigation and bridge watchkeeping duties according to rank
• Operate and maintain propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, and deck equipment
• Assist with towing, mooring, line-handling, and harbour operations
• Carry out planned maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting
• Maintain engine-room and deck operational readiness
• Follow company HSE procedures and applicable Turkish and international maritime regulations
• Participate in emergency drills, toolbox talks, and onboard safety meetings
• Support catering duties where combined AB/Cook or Oiler/Cook positions apply

Requirements:

General Requirements

• Relevant experience in the position applied for
• Previous Tug Boat / Harbour Tug experience preferred
• Valid maritime certificates and licenses appropriate to the rank
• Valid STCW certification package
• Valid Passport and Seaman’s Book
• Valid Medical Certificate
• Good English communication skills
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork abilities
• Physically and medically fit for sea service
• Turkish personnel are preferred

Position-Specific Requirements:

Master
• Valid Master Certificate of Competency
• Minimum 500 GRT qualification required
• Previous Tug Boat / Harbour Tug command experience preferred
• Strong manoeuvring, towing, and harbour operations experience

Chief Officer
• Valid Chief Officer / Deck Officer Certificate of Competency
• Minimum 500 GRT qualification required
• Previous tug or similar vessel experience preferred

Chief Engineer
• Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency
• Minimum 3,000 kW qualification required
• Previous tug / marine engineering experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of propulsion and auxiliary machinery

2nd Engineer
• Valid 2nd Engineer Certificate of Competency
• Minimum 3,000 kW qualification required
• Previous tug or similar vessel engineering experience preferred

AB
• Valid Able Seafarer Deck / AB certification
• Previous tug, harbour, or workboat experience preferred
• Experience with mooring, towing, and deck maintenance is an advantage

Oiler
• Valid engine-room rating certification
• Previous Oiler experience on tug boats or similar vessels preferred
• Knowledge of machinery maintenance and engine-room operations

AB / Cook
• Valid AB certification
• Previous combined deck and catering experience preferred
• Relevant food hygiene / catering certification is an advantage

Oiler / Cook
• Valid engine-room rating certification
• Previous combined Oiler and Cook experience preferred
• Relevant food hygiene / catering certification is an advantage
