Job Description:
Archer Offshore is currently seeking an experienced Deckhand to join The Arent for an initial 6-week offshore rotation, with the opportunity to continue on two additional 6-week on / 6-week off rotations. The successful candidate will assist with deck operations, vessel maintenance, mooring activities, and cargo handling while ensuring compliance with company procedures and international maritime safety standards.
Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK and hold the required maritime certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Perform routine deck operations, including mooring, cargo handling, and maintenance tasks.
Assist with navigational watches and general seamanship duties as directed by senior officers.
Maintain deck equipment and ensure work areas remain clean and operational.
Participate in emergency drills and comply with company HSE and maritime safety procedures.
Support safe and efficient vessel operations while working as part of the deck crew.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates.
Medical fitness certificate (Seafarer's Medical).
Proficiency in English communication.
Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC II/5).
Right to Work in the United Kingdom is mandatory.
Previous experience as a Deckhand or in a similar offshore position.
Valid Passport and other mandatory seafarer documentation.
