Job Description

Clyde Recruitment is seeking an experienced Crane Operator for a Jack Up Barge operating in the UK.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting lifting and material-handling operations safely and efficiently, following approved lifting plans, equipment operating procedures and offshore safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the crane safely within its approved operating limits.
• Conduct pre-use inspections and operational checks.
• Carry out lifting, loading and material-handling operations.
• Follow approved lifting plans, risk assessments and lift instructions.
• Coordinate with riggers, deck crew and relevant lifting personnel.
• Monitor operating conditions and identify potential hazards.
• Maintain crane equipment and complete required operational records.
• Report equipment defects and unsafe conditions.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings and emergency drills.
• Comply with company HSE and offshore lifting procedures.

Requirements

• Relevant Crane Operator qualification / competency certificate.
• Previous crane-operation experience in a marine, offshore or industrial environment.
• Jack Up Barge or offshore lifting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of lifting equipment, lifting plans and safe operating procedures.
• Valid offshore safety and medical certificates as required.
• Valid passport and relevant employment documentation.
• Good command of English.
• Strong safety awareness, communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an offshore environment.
