Job Description
Navis Crew Management is currently seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a CONRO (Container Roll-on/Roll-off) Vessel operating on worldwide trading routes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the engine department, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, electrical equipment, planned maintenance programs, and compliance with international maritime regulations and company HSE standards.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced Chief Engineers with extensive service onboard CONRO or similar merchant vessels.

Job Responsibilities
- Manage all engine room operations and engineering personnel
- Ensure the safe operation of propulsion, auxiliary, and electrical systems
- Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance
- Monitor fuel consumption and machinery performance
- Maintain engine room documentation and maintenance records
- Coordinate repairs and spare parts management
- Conduct emergency drills and safety meetings
- Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, and company HSE procedures
- Maintain operational readiness throughout the voyage
Requirements
- Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC)
- Minimum 24 months of experience as Chief Engineer
- Previous experience onboard CONRO or similar merchant vessels preferred
- Valid STCW 2010 certification package
- Valid Flag State Endorsement
- Valid passport
- Valid seaman book
- Valid medical certificate
- Previous employer references
- Seaman's book copies confirming sea service
- Good English communication skills
- Strong leadership, technical, and engine management skills
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Physically and medically fit for sea service
