Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a DP2 Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessel (AHTS) operating in offshore fields in the UAE. The vessel is engaged in offshore support operations including anchor handling, towing, and supply activities that require reliable engineering systems and strong technical management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all engine room machinery, propulsion systems, and auxiliary equipment. The role also requires involvement in Dynamic Positioning system maintenance and monitoring in coordination with the bridge team. The contract duration is 60–90 days with ASAP joining.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Manage the operation, maintenance, and repair of all engine room machinery and vessel systems
• Ensure reliable performance of propulsion, power generation, and DP-related systems
• Supervise the engine department and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance procedures
• Maintain engine logs, maintenance records, and technical documentation
• Coordinate with the Master and shore technical management regarding vessel performance and repairs

Requirements:
• Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (COC)
• Valid DPVM Certificate (Dynamic Positioning Vessel Maintainer)
• Valid STCW certificates
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Minimum 24 months experience as Chief Engineer on Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessel (AHTS) or similar vessels
• Minimum 1000 DP hours
• ADNOC approval preferred (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company)
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
