Job Description:
Worldwide Recruitment Solutions is currently looking for an experienced Able Seaman (AB) to join a Research Vessel operating in the UK. The position is scheduled to start on 1 September 2026 for approximately 6 weeks.
Open Position:
• 1 × Able Seaman (AB)
Key Responsibilities:
• Performing general deck and seamanship duties onboard
• Assisting with mooring, anchoring, and vessel operations
• Carrying out deck maintenance and equipment checks
• Supporting the deck team and officers with daily operations
• Following vessel safety, security, and HSE procedures
Requirements:
• Valid UK Work Permit – mandatory
• UK Discharge Book – mandatory
• Valid AB CoC
• Valid STCW certificates
• Valid medical certificate
• Valid passport
• Valid BOSIET
• Valid Seaman’s Book
• Previous experience on research or similar vessels preferred
• Availability to join on 1 September 2026
