Job Description

Navis is recruiting an experienced Third Officer / Dynamic Positioning Officer (DPO) to join a Norwegian-flagged SCOV DP2 vessel operating in the North Sea.

The vessel was built in 2009, has a gross tonnage of 9,423 GRT, and is equipped with a 150-tonne Safe Working Load (SWL) crane.

The successful candidate must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) Certificate of Competency, a full DP certificate, HUET with CA-EBS, and an HLO certificate.

A minimum of 12 months of actual onboard experience as a Third Officer / DPO on MPSV, OCV, or DSV vessels is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform navigational watchkeeping duties in accordance with the OOW qualification and vessel procedures.
• Carry out DP operations within the scope of the candidate's certification and assigned responsibilities.
• Monitor vessel position, heading, and DP system status during offshore operations.
• Assist with passage planning, bridge operations, and navigational documentation.
• Support offshore construction and subsea operations as required.
• Coordinate with the bridge team, vessel crew, and offshore project personnel.
• Maintain accurate navigational, operational, and safety records.
• Participate in safety drills and emergency response activities.
• Support helideck operations in accordance with applicable procedures and HLO responsibilities.
• Follow company HSE procedures and applicable maritime regulations.

Requirements

• Valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) Certificate of Competency – mandatory.
• Full Dynamic Positioning (DP) Certificate – mandatory.
• HUET with CA-EBS – mandatory.
• HLO certificate – mandatory.
• Minimum 12 months of actual onboard experience as Third Officer / DPO on MPSV, OCV, or DSV vessels – mandatory.
• Valid COC, applicable Endorsement, and all relevant STCW certificates.
• Valid Seaman's Book.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Full COVID-19 vaccination – mandatory.
• Good English communication skills.
• Availability to join on 27 October 2026.
• Compliance with applicable Norwegian-flag vessel and project requirements.
