Job Description
A leading maritime company is seeking an experienced 3rd Engineer to join an MPSV DP2 vessel operating in the North Sea.
The successful candidate will support the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the vessel’s main and auxiliary machinery while working in accordance with company procedures, maritime regulations, and HSE requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the engineering team with the safe operation of main and auxiliary machinery
- Perform engine room watchkeeping duties as assigned
- Monitor machinery and technical systems during operations
- Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting
- Maintain engine room equipment and working areas
- Assist with planned maintenance and repair activities
- Participate in emergency drills, toolbox talks, and safety meetings
- Maintain accurate machinery logs and technical records
- Follow all vessel, company, HSE, and environmental procedures
Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications
- Valid Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (OICEW) License
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC)
- Valid Flag State Endorsement
- Valid STCW certification package
- Valid Medical Certificate
Experience
- Minimum 12 months of actual onboard experience as 3rd Engineer
- Experience on similar type of vessels required
- Previous MPSV / DP vessel experience is preferred
- Good English communication skills
- Strong technical knowledge and safety awareness
- Ability to work effectively within a multicultural crew
