Job Description

OSM Thome Offshore is seeking a qualified Second Engineer for an upcoming Accommodation W2W DP2 vessel project in Brunei. The successful candidate will assist the Chief Engineer in managing engine-room operations, maintaining machinery, and ensuring the safe and efficient performance of the vessel’s technical systems.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist the Chief Engineer with daily engineering operations.
• Supervise assigned engine-room personnel and maintenance tasks.
• Monitor machinery and auxiliary systems and report defects.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and support technical repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow onboard safety procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 18–24 months of experience as Second Engineer on the same type of vessel.
• Appropriate Second Engineer Certificate of Competency and required endorsements.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Valid passport and seafarer’s documentation.
• Relevant offshore vessel engineering experience.
• Good technical, teamwork, and English communication skills.
