Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a Self-Propelled Jack-Up Barge (DP2) operating in Saudi Arabian waters. The position is offered on a 60-day contract with an ASAP joining date.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all engine room machinery, propulsion systems, and auxiliary equipment onboard the vessel. The role requires strong technical expertise and previous experience working on self-propelled jack-up barges or similar offshore vessels. The project involves offshore operations where reliability of the vessel’s propulsion and power generation systems is critical.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of all engine room machinery and vessel systems
• Ensure safe and efficient running of propulsion, power generation, and auxiliary equipment
• Manage engine room crew and ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards
• Maintain engine logs, maintenance records, and technical documentation
• Coordinate with the Master and technical management regarding machinery performance and repairs

Requirements:
• Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (COC) and endorsement
• Valid STCW certificates
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Marlins English Test for Seafarers with minimum 60% in all sections
• Proficiency in English communication
• Minimum 12 months experience as 2nd Engineer on Self-Propelled Jack-Up Barge OR 12 months as Chief Engineer on AHTS vessels
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
