Job Description
Solpia Marine & Shipmanagement, Inc. is hiring a Wiper for a Container Carrier Vessel. The position is open to candidates with or without an OIC License.
The Wiper will support the Engine Department with routine maintenance, cleaning, housekeeping, and general engine-room duties under the supervision of the engineering officers and ratings. Candidates with relevant onboard experience and valid maritime documentation are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assist the Engine Department with routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and engine-room areas.
- Support engineers and engine-room ratings during maintenance and repair activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping standards in the engine room.
- Assist with tools, equipment, lubricants, and other engine-room materials.
- Follow all onboard safety procedures and instructions.
Requirements
- Valid STCW certificates
- Valid medical fitness certificate
- Proficiency in English communication
- OIC License: With or Without
- Relevant maritime or engine-room experience is an advantage
- Valid passport and seaman’s book
- Ability to work safely as part of a multinational crew
