Job Description

CSM Indonesia is currently recruiting qualified and experienced seafarers for immediate positions onboard VLCC Vessels operating on international trading routes.

The company is seeking experienced deck officers, engineering personnel, electro-technical specialists, ratings, catering crew, and cadets. Candidates with relevant VLCC / crude oil tanker experience are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities

Depending on the assigned position, duties may include:

  • Perform duties according to the assigned rank and company procedures.
  • Support safe VLCC navigation and crude oil tanker operations.
  • Conduct bridge, engine-room, electrical, deck, or cargo watchkeeping as applicable.
  • Support crude oil loading, discharge, cargo handling, and tank-related operations.
  • Operate and maintain propulsion, auxiliary, electrical, cargo, and deck equipment.
  • Carry out planned maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Support mooring, anchoring, and general vessel operations.
  • Maintain engine-room, deck, accommodation, and working areas to required standards.
  • Prepare and serve meals and support catering operations where applicable.
  • Participate in emergency drills, toolbox talks, and onboard safety activities.
  • Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, ISM Code, tanker safety requirements, and company HSE procedures.
  • Maintain operational readiness and effective teamwork onboard.

Requirements

General Requirements

  • Previous experience in the same rank is required.
  • Relevant VLCC / Crude Oil Tanker experience preferred and may be mandatory depending on rank.
  • Valid STCW 2010 certification relevant to the applied position.
  • Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) / Certificate of Proficiency (COP) where applicable.
  • Valid tanker-specific training and certificates as required.
  • Valid Passport, Seaman's Book, and Medical Certificate.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Strong safety awareness and teamwork abilities.
  • Professional attitude and commitment to safe tanker operations.
  • Physically and medically fit for sea service.
  • Ready for immediate deployment according to company requirements.

Position-Specific Requirements

Master / Chief Officer / Second Officer / Third Officer

  • Valid Deck Officer CoC appropriate to the rank.
  • Proven experience on VLCC / Crude Oil Tankers.
  • Valid tanker certification as applicable.

Chief Engineer / Second Engineer / Third Engineer / Fourth Engineer

  • Valid Engineer CoC appropriate to the rank.
  • Relevant VLCC / tanker engine-room experience.

Assistant Engineers

  • Relevant engineering qualification and certification.
  • Previous tanker or VLCC engine-room experience preferred.

ETO / ETR / Electrician

  • Valid electro-technical certification as applicable.
  • Relevant marine electrical, automation, and control-system experience.

Bosun / AB / OS

  • Valid deck rating certification.
  • Previous tanker deck experience preferred.

Oiler / Fitter / Motorman / Welder / Wiper

  • Relevant engine-room or technical qualification.
  • Previous vessel maintenance experience, preferably on tankers.

Catering Crew

  • Previous shipboard catering or accommodation experience.
  • Relevant food hygiene certification where applicable.

Deck Cadet / Engine Cadet

  • Valid cadet documentation.
  • Required STCW certification and eligibility for onboard training.
