Job Description:
Pandi Ship Corporation is hiring an experienced Fitter to join a Bulk Carrier Vessel. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance, repairs, fabrication, and fitting work onboard, supporting the vessel's deck and engine departments as required.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Perform mechanical repairs, fitting, and maintenance of vessel equipment.
Carry out welding, cutting, fabrication, and other workshop duties.
Assist with planned maintenance and repairs of deck and engine-room machinery.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe operating condition.
Follow all onboard safety procedures and company maintenance standards.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Fitter
Bulk Carrier experience preferred
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
Valid seafarer's documents
Relevant mechanical, fitting, welding, and fabrication skills
Good command of English
Ability to work effectively as part of a multinational crew
