Job Description:
VR Maritime is currently recruiting an experienced Chief Officer with previous sailing experience onboard VLGC (Very Large Gas Carrier) vessels. The selected candidate is expected to join by the end of August 2026.
Open Position:
Chief Officer – VLGC
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing deck operations and supervising deck crew
• Ensuring safe cargo handling and vessel operations
• Supporting navigation and watchkeeping duties
• Maintaining compliance with company procedures and maritime regulations
• Ensuring adherence to STCW and applicable safety standards
Requirements:
• Previous sailing experience onboard VLGC vessels – mandatory
• Valid STCW certification and compliance with applicable regulatory standards
• Valid maritime documentation and medical certificate
• Strong knowledge of vessel safety and operational procedures
• Good English communication skills
• Availability to join by the end of August 2026
