Key Responsibilities:
As per company and vessel policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
· Assume full responsibility for the planning, execution, and safety of all cargo loading, stowage, securing, and unloading operations.
· Manage and supervise the deck crew, including work schedules, maintenance, and training.
· Maintain the vessel's stability, trim, and condition, ensuring compliance with load line regulations.
· Be responsible for the maintenance and inspection of all deck equipment, hull, safety, and fire-fighting appliances.
· Act as the vessel's Safety Officer, conducting drills, inspections, and ensuring compliance with the SMS (Safety Management System) and ISPS code.
· Stand navigational watches as required.
· Handle all cargo documentation and port formalities.

Requirements:
· Mandatory Certifications (All Valid):
· Chief Officer CoC (Unlimited or relevant to vessel tonnage).
· Full STCW Certificates.
· Valid Seaman's Book (CDC).
· Valid Passport.
· Valid Seafarer's Medical Certificate (ENG1 or equivalent).
· Mandatory Legal Requirement:
· Valid, unrestricted Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
· Proven experience as Chief Officer/Mate on general cargo or similar vessels.
· Strong knowledge of cargo handling and stability calculations.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills in English.

Employment Details:
· Contract Duration: 4 weeks (initial).

· Salary: 330 EUR per day, subject to UK income tax and National Insurance deductions.
