Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Chief Engineer for a brand-new XDF LNG vessel operated by one of the world's leading LNG companies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel's engineering department and advanced propulsion technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the engine department.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
• Oversee planned maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting.
• Monitor engineering systems and machinery performance.
• Maintain technical records and operational readiness.
• Ensure compliance with company, safety and environmental procedures.
• Lead engineering emergency response and drills.

Requirements

• Previous LNG vessel experience as Chief Engineer – mandatory.
• Valid Chief Engineer CoC.
• Valid relevant STCW certification.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Experience with modern LNG propulsion systems is highly advantageous.
• Good command of English.
• Availability to join ASAP.
• Strong leadership and technical skills.
