Engine Cadet for Container Carrier Vessel

Job Description

Navilands Marine Inc. is urgently recruiting an Engine Cadet to join its Container Carrier fleet.

The Engine Cadet will receive practical onboard training while assisting the engineering officers and engine-room ratings with machinery operation, maintenance, inspections, and other assigned duties.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist engineering officers with engine-room operations.
• Participate in practical maintenance and machinery familiarisation.
• Support inspections and routine engine-room activities.
• Maintain required cadet training records.
• Follow onboard technical, safety, and environmental procedures.

Requirements

• Valid Engine Cadet / trainee documentation
• Valid STCW certificates relevant to cadet position
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Required seafarer documents
• Container Carrier experience or training preferred
• Valid US Visa preferred
• Good English communication skills
