Deck Cadet for Container Carrier Vessel

Job Description

Navilands Marine Inc. is urgently recruiting a Deck Cadet to join its Container Carrier fleet.

The Deck Cadet will receive practical onboard training and assist the deck officers with navigation, maintenance, cargo operations, safety duties, and other assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist deck officers with navigational and deck operations.
• Participate in onboard training and familiarisation.
• Assist with cargo, maintenance, and safety activities.
• Maintain required training records and documentation.
• Follow all vessel safety and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Valid Deck Cadet / trainee documentation
• Valid STCW certificates relevant to cadet position
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Required seafarer documents
• Container Carrier experience or training preferred
• Valid US Visa preferred
• Good English communication skills
