Job Description

South Point is looking for an experienced Bosun to join an LNG Bunker Vessel operating in Singapore waters.

The Bosun will supervise and support deck crew activities, coordinate routine deck maintenance and assist with mooring, cargo-related and other deck operations in accordance with the Chief Officer’s instructions and onboard safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise deck crew during assigned work.
• Assist with mooring, anchoring and other deck operations.
• Carry out deck maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Support safe operations during LNG bunkering activities as instructed.
• Ensure deck tools and equipment are maintained in good condition.
• Follow onboard safety, environmental and housekeeping procedures.

Requirements

• Malaysian nationality – mandatory.
• Previous experience onboard LNG vessels – mandatory.
• Relevant Bosun experience and valid rank-related certificates.
• Valid STCW certificates and applicable medical fitness certification.
• Valid passport and seaman’s book.
• Good knowledge of deck operations and onboard safety procedures.
• Familiarity with LNG bunkering operations is an advantage.
• Good command of English.
• Availability to join in December 2026.
