Job Description:
Global Gateway Crewing Services Inc. is currently recruiting an Ordinary Seaman (OS) to join a Container Vessel. The successful candidate will assist the deck department with routine maintenance, cleaning, mooring, cargo operations, safety duties, and other tasks assigned by the deck officers.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Assist with general deck maintenance, cleaning, painting, and preservation.
Support mooring, anchoring, and cargo-related operations.
Assist ABs and deck officers with daily deck activities.
Participate in safety drills and emergency response procedures.
Maintain good housekeeping and follow all onboard safety procedures.
Requirements:
Previous Ordinary Seaman (OS) experience preferred
Container vessel experience is an advantage
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
Valid seafarer's documents
Good command of English
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural crew
