Job Description:
Global Gateway Crewing Services Inc. is currently hiring an experienced Able Seaman (AB) to join a Bulk Carrier Vessel. The successful candidate will support the deck department with cargo operations, mooring and anchoring activities, deck maintenance, navigational watchkeeping, and onboard safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Perform routine deck maintenance, cleaning, painting, and preservation work.
Assist with mooring, anchoring, and cargo operations.
Carry out navigational watchkeeping duties as assigned.
Assist with safety drills, emergency response, and lifesaving equipment checks.
Follow vessel, company, and international maritime safety procedures.
Requirements:
Previous experience as an Able Seaman (AB)
Bulk Carrier experience preferred
Valid AB certification/COP
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
Valid seafarer's documents
Good command of English
Ability to work effectively as part of a multinational crew
