Job Description

Faststream is recruiting an experienced 2nd Engineer to join a modern XDF LNG new build vessel operated by a leading LNG company.

The successful candidate will support the Chief Engineer in the safe operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of advanced vessel machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with engine-room management and daily operations.
• Operate and maintain propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
• Carry out planned maintenance and inspections.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs.
• Monitor engineering systems and equipment.
• Maintain technical documentation and safe working conditions.
• Participate in emergency and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Previous LNG vessel experience as 2nd Engineer – mandatory.
• Valid 2nd Engineer CoC.
• Valid relevant STCW certification.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Experience with modern LNG propulsion technology preferred.
• Good command of English.
• Availability to join ASAP.
