Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Engine Room Operator (ERO) to join a 6th generation drillship. This is a temporary assignment requiring immediate availability for visa processing, with mobilisation to the rig on 10 December for a 28-day hitch. The ERO will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all engine room systems, supporting the engineering team and ensuring full compliance with offshore procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor all engine room machinery and control systems
• Support the engineering team in daily operations and maintenance
• Ensure compliance with operational, safety, and environmental standards
• Record and report equipment status, defects, and maintenance activities
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations
• Assist in maintaining readiness of all critical equipment onboard

Requirements:

• Nationality: UK, EU, or South African (due to work permit restrictions)
• Recent operational experience as ERO on a MODU within the last 5 years
• STCW III/2 Certificate of Competency – Second Engineer
• OPITO BOSIET or FOET with CA-EBS
• OGUK or STCW Medical Certificate of Fitness
• Ability to mobilise immediately
