Job Description:
Carnival Cruise Line is seeking a Deck Rating / Deckhand to join the Deck Department onboard one of its cruise vessels.
The Deck Rating supports the Bosun and Deck Officers with routine deck maintenance, accommodation upkeep, port arrival and departure preparations, mooring and anchoring operations, stores loading and discharging, waste management, and other operational duties within the scope of the rank.
The position also requires participation in onboard training programs and drills, as well as compliance with the Company's environmental and energy efficiency requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Participate in maintenance and upkeep of the deck, associated fittings, and accommodation areas as instructed by the Bosun or supervising officer.
• Assist with vessel preparation for arrival and departure and participate in stores loading and discharging operations.
• Attend anchor and mooring stations during vessel arrival and departure operations.
• Participate in onboard training programs, emergency drills, and waste management activities as directed.
• Carry out additional duties assigned by the Captain, Staff Captain, Chief Officer, or Bosun within the scope of the position, while supporting environmental and energy efficiency practices onboard.

• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Relevant experience in a deck rating/deckhand position is preferred
• Ability to participate in mooring, anchoring, deck maintenance, and port operations
• Ability to follow instructions from Deck Officers and the Bosun
• Awareness of environmental protection and energy efficiency practices
• Ability to work effectively as part of an onboard multicultural team
