Job Description

Clyde Recruitment is seeking a reliable and service-oriented Steward to support catering, housekeeping and accommodation services onboard a Jack Up Barge operating in the UK.

The successful candidate will help maintain clean and comfortable accommodation areas and support onboard catering operations while ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of accommodation and communal areas.
• Assist with mess-room service and crew meal arrangements.
• Support housekeeping and laundry duties as required.
• Assist catering personnel with general duties.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and presentation.
• Follow food-safety and sanitation procedures where applicable.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are stored safely.
• Participate in onboard safety briefings and drills.
• Follow company procedures and offshore HSE requirements.

Requirements

• Previous Steward, housekeeping, catering or hospitality experience preferred.
• Previous offshore or vessel-based experience is an advantage.
• Relevant food-hygiene or catering certificates, where required.
• Valid STCW certificates, where applicable.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Valid passport and seafarer's documents, as applicable.
• Good command of English.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional attitude and ability to work as part of an offshore crew.
