Job Description
An international crewing company is recruiting 1 Messman with previous gas carrier experience to join a VLGC vessel.
The successful candidate will assist with catering and housekeeping duties onboard while supporting the galley and accommodation areas and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assist the Chief Cook and galley team with meal preparation and service.
- Maintain cleanliness of mess rooms, accommodation areas, and assigned spaces.
- Assist with galley cleaning and dishwashing duties.
- Support stores handling and provision management.
- Follow onboard hygiene, food-safety, and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Relevant experience as Messman.
- Previous experience as Messman on a gas carrier is required/preferred.
- Good knowledge of galley and housekeeping routines.
- Valid STCW certificates as applicable.
- Valid medical fitness certificate.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Valid seafarer documentation.
